Handover Ceremony: Minister Adama Coulibaly Transfers the Economy Portfolio to Minister Nialé Kaba

Following his appointment as Minister of Finance and Budget on October 17, 2023, Adama Coulibaly, formerly Minister of Finance, officially transferred responsibility for the Economy portfolio to Ms. Nialé Kaba, newly appointed Minister of Economy, Planning and Development, on Friday, October 20, 2023, following the formation of the new Government.

The handover ceremony between the two officials took place in the presence of Mr. Roger Charlemagne Dah, Secretary General of the Government, on the 20th floor of the SCIAM Building in Plateau.

In his remarks, Minister Adama Coulibaly warmly congratulated his colleague on her reappointment and praised her professional achievements. He then formally transferred the relevant files to her, including the monitoring of economic conditions, the strengthening of sub-regional economic integration, and the monitoring of the macroeconomic framework, while wishing her every success in this new mission.
Minister Nialé Kaba, upon assuming responsibility for the Economy portfolio, expressed her gratitude to the President of the Republic, the Vice President, and the Prime Minister for their renewed confidence. She pledged to work alongside them for the well-being of the Ivorian people. While thanking her predecessor for the work accomplished, she reassured him that she was fully aware of the scale of the responsibilities now entrusted to her.

For his part, Mr. Roger Charlemagne Dah, Secretary General of the Government, praised the leadership and extensive experience of both ministers and extended his best wishes for success in their respective missions within the Government.
