Project Mid-Year Review | July 2025
From July 17 to 18, 2025, the first Project Mid-Year Review organized by the Directorate for Monitoring and Evaluation of Project and Program Performance (DSEPPP) was held in the conference hall of the Directorate General of Financing (DGF), located in the Aniaman Building. The objective of this review was, among other things, to assess the physical and financial implementation status of projects, identify challenges encountered by project coordination units, and formulate recommendations to address these issues in order to ensure the effective execution of the various projects.
In his opening remarks, Mr. KOROMA Tinnon, Director of Monitoring and Evaluation of Project and Program Performance, thanked all participants for their attendance and briefly presented the DSEPPP, outlining its institutional mandate, the rationale behind its creation, its responsibilities, and its organizational structure.
The review was chaired by the Director General of the DGF, Mr. DIABY Lanciné, represented by the Deputy Director General, Mr. COULIBALY Jules, who, in his address, encouraged all stakeholders to work collaboratively to ensure the achievement of project and program objectives for the benefit of the population.
The first mid-year review of 2025 provided an opportunity to assess the implementation status of the projects and programs monitored by the Directorate for Monitoring and Evaluation of Performance. Despite a context marked by certain structural and operational challenges, significant progress was recorded across several sectors, reflecting the combined efforts of technical teams, development partners, and beneficiaries.
While the results achieved are encouraging, they also highlight the need to strengthen project governance, coordination, and accountability mechanisms. It is now essential to build on the good practices identified, address the shortcomings observed, and anticipate potential constraints that may arise during the second half of the year.
The implementation of the recommendations formulated during this review, combined with the continued commitment of all stakeholders, will help improve the overall performance of projects and programs in support of inclusive and sustainable development.
